Also known as electronic sports, “eSports” is the name given to describe videogame competitions, many professional in nature. The main types of games within this discipline are:

• Real-time strategy
• Sporting
• First person shooting
• Online multi-player battle arenas.

The popularity of this modality has grown rapidly since 2000, and today there are more spectators and participators than ever.

Teams

The Real Sporting started out in eSports in December 2016 in the Pro Clubs modality of the FIFA videogame, and it currently participates in the First Division of Play Station in the VFO league and on the eLaLiga, a competition organised by LaLiga and by EA Sports.

As well as the mentioned FIFA team with players in both 11 vs. 11 and 1 vs. 1 modes on the PlayStation, the Real Sporting eSports also has teams on Clash Royale and CSGO.
